1 day Jinja city tour
This 1 day Jinja city tour shall take you to part of eastern Ugandan to witness several attractions. Jinja is approximately 80km away from Kampala. The town was once one of the major industrial towns that fuelled Uganda’s growth. And today, several industries are still present in the town. Jinja is famous around the world for the being the source of River Nile, the longest river in the world and one of the most unique rivers in the entire world.
This tour shall start and end in Kampala. You will be driven in a clean and comfortable 4×4 safari car which is fitted with air conditioners, coolers/fridge and a popup roof for easy sightseeing. All the passengers inside the car have access to the window seat and this adds great value to their sightseeing ambitions. Early in the morning, our tour guide shall come to your hotel in Kampala. You will be picked up and driven along the famous Kampala-Jinja road; you will drive past Mandela national stadium-Uganda’s biggest stadium. Along the way, you will have a stopover at the Ssezibwa falls. At the falls, you will participate in nature walks, and hikes to the top of the falls. Later, you will continue to Mabira forest, Mabira forest is the largest forest in Uganda with so many activities to participate in. the canopy walk and nature walks where you stand the chance to spot many bird species as well as other forest’s inhabitants.
Afterwards, you will continue your journey to Jinja town. In Jinja town, you will have meals at the famous sunset hotel. The hotel is always populated with many tourists. It has very nice views of the source of the Nile with a clear view of the car bridge and the railway line. At the hotel, you can either ask for local or continental dishes. Later, you will start visiting many iconic sites within the city which include the Jinja Railway station, the golf course, and memorial gardens. Afterwards, you will proceed to River Nile for a boat cruise at the source of the Nile. The boat cruise starts at the exact location where the Nile starts. After the cruise, you will start the depart Jinja for Kampala to mark the end of your 1 day Jinja tour.
