The 1 day queen Elizabeth national park safari in Uganda shall take you to Queen Elizabeth national park for game viewing and a boat cruise. Queen Elizabeth national park is the most visited national park in Uganda. The park was established in 1952 and it was named Queen Elizabeth national park to commemorate the visit of Queen Elizabeth in Uganda. During the visit to the park, there are major attractions that lure tourists. Tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector of the park, chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge, the big 5 spotting, birding and others.  During this tour, you will be driven in 4×4 safari car with an air conditioner, cooler or fridge, power sockets for an electrical gadget charging and a popup roof for easy game viewing.

This safari shall start in Mbarara, the biggest city in Western Uganda. It approximately takes 2 hours to drive from Mbarara to Queen Elizabeth national park.

Very early in the morning, our tour guide shall come to your hotel in Mbarara. After the formal greeting, you will be driven along the Mbarara to Kasese Road to Queen Elizabeth national park. Along the way, you will the opportunity of spotting several cattle farms- Mbarara is famous for cattle rearing; the Ankole people who inhabit the area are known pastoralists who own large farms of cattle. You will be in position to watch the local people as they embark on their day activities. Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth national park, you will start the game drive. During the game drive, you will spot various wildlife species. Some of the common species include the big 5- lions, Elephants, leopard, Rhinos, and buffaloes as well as several herbivores and predators. Spotting the tree-climbing lions shall add great value to the tour – tree-climbing lions are located along the Ishasha sector. The game drive will last until lunch time. At lunch, you will be served with delicious meals from one of the lodges. Later, you will continue with the boat cruise along the kazinga channel until sunset. The boat cruise shall enable you to spot hippopotamus, crocodiles and other aquatic species. Several bird species are always seen along the shores. After the boat cruise, you will return to Mbarara to mark the end of your tour however if you want to be dropped off in any location like Kampala, Entebbe and others-several arrangements can be made.
